Returns
All bulk material sales are final. Once a product has been delivered and dumped at the delivery location, it cannot be returned or refunded. Due to the nature of bulk materials, we are unable to recover materials once placed on a property, and we cannot determine whether any portion of the product has been used, removed, or contaminated. For this reason, we do not offer returns or pickups of delivered materials.
Product Selection Responsibility
Customers are responsible for confirming that the product ordered is the correct material for their project. Product photos displayed on our website or in marketing materials are intended for general reference only. Natural materials such as stone, sand, soil, and mulch may vary in color, size, texture, and appearance.
Customers are encouraged to view materials in person prior to ordering if exact color or texture is important.
Natural Material Variation
Many of the products we sell are natural materials. Color, size, texture, and appearance may vary from photos or previous deliveries. These variations are normal and do not constitute a product defect.
Delivery Protocol & Site Responsibility Policy
To ensure safe and efficient delivery of materials, customers must review and agree to the following delivery guidelines prior to scheduling a delivery.
Delivery Location Requirements
Customers must clearly specify in advance where the material should be dumped on the property. Our drivers will deliver materials only to the location provided by the customer at the time of scheduling.
Customer Direction for Dump Location
Customers may mark the intended dump location with a tarp, cones, or other visible markers prior to delivery. If no markers are present, the driver will rely on the delivery instructions provided when the order was placed. Lumberjacks/8 Point Building Supply is not responsible for materials dumped according to the customer's instructions.
If no location is clearly designated upon arrival, the driver may place the material in the nearest safe and accessible location or may reschedule the delivery.
Street Access
For safety and compliance reasons, our trucks will not block public streets, intersections, sidewalks, or driveways. Deliveries will only be made where the driver can safely enter, maneuver, and exit the delivery area.
Final Placement
Material will be dumped in one location only as directed by the customer. Drivers cannot spread, move, or reposition material once it has been dumped.
Recommended Preparation
Customers are strongly encouraged to place tarps or protective coverings in the area where the materials will be dumped. This helps contain materials and simplifies cleanup after delivery.
Property Conditions & Access
Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery area is suitable for heavy trucks and equipment. Delivery vehicles are large and heavy and may require sufficient space and stable ground conditions.
Damage Disclaimer
Due to the weight of delivery trucks and materials, Lumberjacks is not responsible for any damage that may occur to:
-
Driveways or concrete surfaces
-
Asphalt surfaces
-
Lawns or landscaping
-
Sprinkler systems or underground utilities
-
Sidewalks, curbs, or other property surfaces
- Our drivers may take photographs of the delivery area before and after delivery for documentation and quality assurance purposes.
Delivery vehicles and materials are extremely heavy and may cause cracking, sinking, rutting, or other surface damage.
By scheduling delivery, the customer acknowledges and accepts that materials are delivered at the customer's direction and risk.
Property Access Risk
If a customer requests that delivery vehicles enter a driveway, yard, or other private surface, the customer assumes all risk associated with that request. Customers may choose to have materials dumped at the curb or street entrance if they wish to avoid the possibility of surface damage.
Driver Safety & Discretion
Our drivers reserve the right to refuse delivery if the site conditions are unsafe or inaccessible for our delivery vehicles. This includes but is not limited to steep grades, soft ground, narrow access points, overhead obstructions, or areas where property damage is likely to occur.
Failed Delivery
If a delivery cannot be completed due to site access issues, blocked areas, unsafe conditions, or a lack of customer instruction, the delivery may be cancelled or rescheduled. Additional delivery or trip charges may apply.
All bulk material deliveries are final once dumped. Please verify product type, quantity, and dump location prior to scheduling delivery.
Customer Agreement
By placing an order or accepting delivery, the customer agrees to the terms outlined in this Delivery Policy, Return Policy, and Site Responsibility Policy.
